Handicapping
The USGA Handicap System™ enables golfers of all skill levels to compete on an equitable basis.

While the USGA® develops the formula used in tabulating handicaps, it does not issue them directly to individual golfers. A USGA Handicap Index is issued through licensed golf clubs that follow all the procedures of the established USGA Handicap System™.

In this case, the Michigan Publinx Golf Association will be the sponsoring club. It is the responsibility of each MPGA member to post all scores and to use the adjustment guide of the USGA.

Pace of Play
The Michigan Publinx pace of play policy leaves the responsibility for maintaining the pace of play where it belongs with you, the player. If you are the first group in the field, play efficient golf. If you are a following group, keep up with the group in front of you and you will not have a pace of play issue. If there is a ruling or delay due to lost ball, it is the responsibility of the group to reclaim position quickly and be in position.
